SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. -- Huntington Beach pitcher Matthew Lopez and first baseman Ralphy Velazquez led the Oilers to the school's first ever CIF State Southern Regional baseball title on Saturday. Lopez threw seven scoreless innings and Velazquez hit an eighth inning two run home run to give Huntington Beach a 2-0 win over No. 1 JSerra in eight innings.

"It's typical of Matt to pitch well in big games," Huntington Beach head coach Benji Medure said. "He's done it all year and I couldn't be more proud of him."
