As part of our end-of-season all-state awards, SBLive will recognize the top players and coaches around the state in Florida high school basketball for their phenomenal performances during the 2021-22 season.

The following standout student-athletes have been named finalists for SBLive’s Florida High School Girls Basketball 4A Player of the Year, which honors the state’s most valuable player on the court in Class 4A.

SBLIVE’S FINALISTS FOR 4A GIRLS BASKETBALL PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Madison Aguilera, Jr. (Gulliver Prep)

Aguilera averaged 21.8 points and 4.7 rebounds per game this season for the Lady Raiders.

Paige Atwater, So. (Weeki Wachee)

Atwater averaged 12.2 points and 2.8 rebounds per game this season for the Lady Hornets.

Ava Butler, Fr. (Rutherford)

Butler averaged 11.3 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game this season.

Eleecia Carter, Jr. (Lake Highland Prep)

Carter averaged 12.4 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game this season for the Lady Highlanders.

Kiley Channell, Jr. (Keystone Heights)

Channell averaged 12.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game this season for the Indians.

Shakirah Edwards, So. (Rutherford)

Edwards finished the season, averaging 16.7 points and 8.5 rebounds per game this season leading the Lady Rams to a region final appearance.

Kaylee Goodpaster, 8th Grade (North Bay Haven)

Goodpaster averaged 14.6 points, 8.2 rebounds and 5.3 steals per game this season.

Nyla Harris, Sr. (Lake Highland Prep)

The Louisville signee finished her senior season, averaging 17.8 points and 11.4 rebounds per game this season for the Highlanders.

Raven Hunter, Sr. (American Heritage-Delray)

Hunter averaged 17.4 points, 7.7 rebounds and 3.3 steals per game this season, leading the Stallions to a 15-4 record this season.

Abby Knauff, Fr. (Bolles- Jacksonville)

Knauff averaged 16.8 points and nearly five rebounds per game this season for the Lady Bulldogs.

Jordan Kosoy, So. (North Broward Prep)

Kosoy led the Lady Eagles in points (13.0), assists (7.1) and steals (5.2) per game this season.

Maddie Millar, Sr. (Bishop Kenny)

The North Florida commit averaged a team-high 17 points per game and shot 44 percent from 3-point range. Millar led the Crusaders to their fourth consecutive appearance in the state semifinals.

Delaini Morris, Jr. (Port Charlotte)

Morris averaged 11.8 points and 7.9 rebounds per game this season for the Lady Pirates.

Emma Risch, Jr. (Palm Bay)

The Notre Dame verbal commit averaged 20.5 points and 6.9 assists per game this season for the Lady Pirates.

Bri Rivera, So. (Lake Highland Prep)

Rivera was lights out from 3-point range this season, shooting 43 percent from distance (96-of-222)

Elizabeth Schnell, Sr. (Calvary Christian Academy- Fort Lauderdale)

Schnell averaged 16.0 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season, leading the Lady Eagles to their first ever state final.
