The high school football playoffs continued this week with the regional semifinals. The best teams and players in Southwest Florida were in action, which means we saw some of the best performances of the year?

But which one was worthy of being named the SBLive Southwest Florida Player of the Week?

With the playoffs winding down, this is the final Player of the Week poll of the season and we've combined offensive and defensive players.

Southwest Florida Defensive Player of the Week

Congrats to last week's winner: Ryan Peterson of Bishop Verot.

Here are the nominees:

T.J. Abrams, Dunbar: Finished with 133 yards and a touchdown receiving, plus 45 yards and a touchdown rushing in a 12-7 win over Golden Gate.

Hezekiah Jones, Dunbar: Intercepted a pass at the goal line on the final play of the Tigers' 12-7 win over Golden Gate.

Cale Austin, Community School of Naples: Threw for 143 yards while running for 50 in a loss to Moore Haven.

Kensley Faustin, Naples: Had two interceptions, three pass breakups, nine tackles, and a punt return TD in a 63-33 win over Port Charlotte.

L.J. Blackwell, Evangelical Christian: Rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to First Baptist Academy.

Ethan Crossan, First Baptist: Passed for four touchdowns and ran for two more in a 50-27 win over Evangelical Christian.

Edd Guerrier, Port Charlotte: Ran for 217 yards and three touchdowns in a loss at Naples.

John Lee Honorat, Golden Gate: Scored his 15th rushing TD of the season in a 12-7 loss to Dunbar.

Shawn Simeon, Naples: Set school records with 387 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in a 63-33 win over Port Charlotte.

Carter Smith, Bishop Verot: Threw four touchdown passes, breaking the Lee County career record in a 44-6 win over Estero.
