Vote: Who should be SBLive’s Central Florida Offensive Player of the Week (11/20/2023)

We’ve selected 11 candidates for your voting consideration

Offensive players made their mark on the third Friday of November, pushing their teams a step further in the postseason,

Athletes from seven counties scored points with their schools in regional playoff action during Week 13 games. We looked at teams from Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, and Indian River counties and nominated 11 athletes for this week’s SBLive Central Florida Offensive Football Player of the Week from Nov. 17.

We ask you, the fan, to decide who should be the top player selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, Nov. 25, at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week’s Central Florida Offensive Player of the Year poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Trever Jackson, QB, Jones (Orlando): Threw a touchdown pass and ran for the go-ahead TD in a 28-24 victory against previously unbeaten Edgewater (Orlando) in a Class 3 Metro, Region 1 semifinal game. Jones (9-3) has won eight straight games.

Semaj Fleming, ATH, Edgewater (Orlando): Speedy junior ran for a 50-yard TD in a loss to Jones.

Michael Key, WR, Seminole (Sanford): Caught TD passes of 15 and 5 yards to lead the Seminoles (10-2) past Apopka, 42-14, in a Class 4M, Region 1 semifinal.

TJ Moore, QB, DeLand: Senior ran for nearly 200 yards and threw a TD pass to lead the Bulldogs (10-2) past University High (Orange City), 31-13, in a Class 4 Suburban, Region 1 semifinal.

Malachi Walters, QB, University High (Orange City): Threw two TD passes in a loss to DeLand.

Jackson Hughes, QB, Lake Minneola: Completed 17 of 25 passes for 294 yards and four TDs in a 42-28 Class 4S, Region 2 semifinal win against Wiregrass Ranch. The Hawks (9-3) have won eight straight games.

Bjorn Jorgensen, QB, Bishop Moore (Orlando): Talented junior dual-threat signal-caller (6-2, 180) completed 15 of 24 passes for 190 yards and one TD, and rushed 10 times for 104 yards and three scores to lead the surging Hornets (9-3) past Riverside (Jacksonville), 37-35, in a Class 2M, Region 1 semifinal. Bishop Moore has won nine straight games.

Akeevin Anderson, OLB/RB/KR, Orlando Christian Prep: Scored on 12-yard TD catch and a dramatic 70-yard kickoff return for a TD to lead the Warriors (10-1) past Providence (Jacksonville), 28-25, in a Class 1M, Region 1 semifinal.

DJ Murray, QB, Mainland (Daytona Beach): Completed 9 of 15 passes for 154 yards and two TDs and ran nine times for 55 yards to lead the defending Class 3S state runner-up Bucs (11-1) past Rockledge, 22-14, in a regional semifinal.

Ramel Hernandez, WR/CB, Melbourne Central Catholic: Junior caught two TD passes, including one for 39 yards, to lead the Hustlers (9-2) past Halifax Academy (Daytona Beach), 37-0, in a Class 1S, Region 2 semifinal.

Jayvan Boggs, WR, Cocoa: Talented junior (6-1, 190) caught seven passes for 133 yards and one TD to lead the defending Class 2S state champ Tigers (11-1) past Dunnellon, 35-0, in a regional semifinal.
