The 2023 high school football season was a memorable one in Southwest Florida. Now that the year is over for all but a select few teams, it's time to decide who was the best of the best on the field.

Help pick the SBLive Southwest Florida Offensive Player of the Year by voting in the poll below. The stats for each player are through the regional semifinal games.

Congratulations to last week's Southwest Florida Offensive Player of the Week: Ethan Crossan of First Baptist Academy.


Here are the nominees:

Malik Allen, RB, Estero: Rushed for 1,293 yards and 10 touchdowns, including back-to-back 200-yard games at one point.

Niko Boyce, QB, Barron Collier: Threw for 1,908 yards and 20 touchdowns while rushing for 629 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Ethan Crossan, QB, First Baptist Academy: Passed for 2,765 yards and 35 touchdowns and ran for seven more TDs.

Edd Guerrier, RB, Port Charlotte: Ran 117 times for 1,146 yards, averaging 9.8 yards per carry, and scored 19 touchdowns.

Cole Hayes, RB, Riverdale: Scored 17 total touchdowns, 15 rushing and two receiving, to go with 1,621 rushing yards.

Tanner Helton, QB, Evangelical Christian: Completed 66 percent of his passes for 2,229 yards and 24 touchdowns, and ran for two more scores.

John Lee Honorat, Golden Gate: Finished with 773 yards and 14 touchdowns rushing to go with 372 yards and three touchdowns receiving.

Justin Lewis, QB/WR, Mariner: Threw for 747 yards and 13 touchdowns, ran for 217 yards and three touchdowns, and caught 15 passes for 250 yards and five touchdowns.

Lazaro Rogers, RB, East Lee: Rushed for 1,515 yards and 18 touchdowns, and also had a receiving touchdown.

Shawn Simeon, RB, Naples: Rushed for 1,869 yards and 27 touchdowns, averaging 11.5 yards per carry.

Carter Smith, QB, Bishop Verot: Passed for 2,128 yards and 29 touchdowns with one interception while running for 598 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Madrid Tucker, Fort Myers: Finished with 722 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns to go with five rushing touchdowns.

Trannon Villarreal, QB, Immokalee: Had 1,697 passing yards and 17 touchdowns, plus 543 yards rushing and four touchdowns.
