Vote: Who should be SBLive’s Central Florida Girls Basketball Player of the Week (1/15/2023)?

We’ve selected 20 candidates for your voting consideration

Central Florida girls’ basketball players racked up some impressive performances in the week leading up to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

We looked at teams from Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, and Indian River counties and nominated 20 athletes for the SBLive Central Florida Girls Basketball Player of the Week for Jan. 8-13, 2024.

We ask you, the fan, to decide who should the top player selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, Jan. 21, at 11:59pm and will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Jaloni Cambridge, Point Guard, Montverde Academy: The talented senior scored 19 points to lead the Eagles past Elizabeth Seton School, 64-46, in the 2024 Martin Luther King Classic in Washington, D.C. She poured in 35 points a day earlier in an 82-71 win against Bishop Ireton.

Calista Rand, Guard, Winter Park: Super sophomore soared with 18 points to push the Wildcats past Mount Dora, 53-30.

Talia St. Hilaire, Forward, City of Life Christian (Kissimmee): Star senior continued her outstanding season with 25 points and 14 rebounds for a double-double in a 62-31 victory against Wade Christian. She also had seven assists. She also had 13 points and 12 rebounds for another double-double and added five assists and five steals in a 64-18 victory against Mater Academy.

Jamylah Williams, Shooting Guard/Small Forward, Osceola (Kissimmee): Freshman scored 10 points to propel the Kowboys past Freedom (Orlando), 31-29.

Carolina Boque, Utility, The First Academy-Leesburg: Pumped in 14 points for the Eagles in a narrow 36-32 loss to Redeemer Christian. She also had eight points and six steals in a 36-6 win against Taylor (Pierson).

Aranya Alexander, Guard, Mount Dora Christian: Freshman scored nine points to lead the Bulldogs past Eustis, 32-25.

Camila Depool, Guard Lake Highland Prep (Orlando): Star senior dropped 20 points on DME Academy in a tight 61-60 win.

Grace Jervis, Guard, Cornerstone Charter Academy: The 5-foot-10 junior scored 15 points in a 69-34 loss to Trinity Christian (W. Va.).

Danika Ballard, Guard, Boone (Orlando): Senior poured in 20 points to lead the Braves past University High (Orlando), 59-23.

Alex Wolsonovich, Guard, Bishop Moore (Orlando): The 5-7 sophomore exploded for 21 points, six rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 53-45 victory against Spruce Creek (Port Orange).

Jasmine Bocca, Point Guard, Colonial (Orlando): Talented senior tallied 15 points, four assists and three steals to lead the Grenadiers past Mainland (Daytona Beach), 61-25.

Herva Brutus, Forward, Umatilla: Star sophomore recorded a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds, and also had four assists, four steals and three blocks in a 59-9 rout of Evans (Orlando).

Zoe Sedo, Point Guard, Windermere Prep: Athletic senior turned in a stellar effort with 17 points, five rebounds, seven assists and six steals in a 75-55 romp against Eustis.

Micah Hannah, Forward/Guard, Ocoee:Talented senior had 24 points and 11 steals for a double-double and added two rebounds, four assists and two blocks in a 52-12 romp against Oviedo.

Alayna Lherisse, Guard/Forward, Eau Gallie (Melbourne): Star senior erupted for 21 points, seven rebounds, three assists and four steals in a 39-32 victory against Satellite.

Summer Snaith, Power Forward/Center, Merritt Island Christian School: Exploded for a double-double with 22 points and 12 rebounds and added five steals and six blocks to lift the Cougars past Rockledge, 67-48.

Ekklesia Anderson, Guard, Vero Beach: Fantastic freshman recorded 11 points, three rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 48-33 win against Rockledge.

Jaida Williams-Goins, Point Guard, Rockledge: Senior continued her stellar season with 21 points, three rebounds and five steals in a loss to Vero Beach.

Samiya Adams, Guard, Sebastian River: Junior scored 17 points to lead the Sharks past Space Coast (Cocoa), 47-30.

Taylor Hill, Forward, Space Coast (Cocoa): Senior scored 16 points in a loss to Sebastian River.
