We saw our first full week of boys basketball action of the new year in Southwest Florida. But with so many teams in action, who had the best performance?

Here are the nominees:

Jose Bido, Island Coast: Led the Gators to a win over Oasis with 16 points and 4 steals.

Calven Charles, Palmetto Ridge: Put up 10 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 blocks as the Bears improved their record to 15-2.

George Childs, Community School: Had a game-high 17 points to lead CSN to victory in the Private 8 tournament quarterfinals.

Tavian Cook, Gateway: Dropped 26 points on 9-of-13 shooting, plus 7 rebounds and 5 steals in a win over Lely.

Brady Knutson, Estero: Tallied 59 points and 15 rebounds as the Wildcats won three straight games.

Logan McClaran, Evangelical Christian: His five steals were key in a 50-45 win over rival Canterbury.

Asa Rogosich, Southwest Florida Christian: Scored 24 points and hit the game-winning shot in a 55-53 victory over Oasis.

Leroy Roker, Bishop Verot: Averaged 16 points in three straight victories last weekNick Sadler, Marco Island – Made 16 of 20 shots for 34 points en rout to a win over Mason Classical.

Gabriel Timmons, Gateway Charter: Combined for 30 points in back-to-back wins for the Griffins.
