Vote Now: Who should be SBLive’s Central Florida Boys Basketball Player of the Week (2/26/2024)?

We’ve selected 20 candidates for your voting consideration

Central Florida high school boys’ basketball players lit up the scoreboard last week in regional semifinal and final action, showing why their teams are among the best in the state.

We looked at teams from Orange, Osceola, Lake, Seminole, Volusia, Brevard, and Indian River counties and nominated 20 athletes for the SBLive Central Florida Boys Basketball Player of the Week for Feb. 19-24, 2024.

We ask you, the fan, to decide who should the top player selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 3, at 11:59pm and will be announced in next week’s poll.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. The poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Tyler Johnson, Wing, Oak Ridge (Orlando): The 6-foot-5 senior and Virginia Tech signee erupted for 19 points, nine rebounds and two blocked shots to lead the Pioneers past Olympia (Orlando), 76-41, in the Class 7A, Region 2 final.

Trey Dubois, Shooting Guard, Evans (Orlando): Junior poured in 23 points to lead the Trojans past Seminole (Sanford), 75-70, and into the Class 7A Final Four. Earlier, he had 21 points in a 63-55 win against Ocoee.

Quin’ Darius Rumph, Power Forward, Seminole (Sanford): The 6-9 senior recorded 26 points, 19 rebounds and five blocked shots in a loss to Evans.

Myles Mayfield, Forward, Edgewater (Orlando): Senior pumped in 16 points to lead the Eagles past Oviedo, 69-59, and into the Class 6A Final Four. Earlier, he had a double-double with 14 and 12 points in a 58-52 win against Bartow.

Darius Washington, Shooting Guard, Orlando Christian Prep: The 6-5 junior scored 14 points to lead the Warriors past Victory Christian (Lakeland), 69-52, and into the Class 2A Final Four.

Jemah Jones, Small Forward, Orlando Christian Prep: The senior scored 14 points to lead the Warriors past Victory Christian (Lakeland) in a Class 2A, Region 2 final.

Brandon Bass, Jr., Shooting Guard, Windermere Prep: Sensational sophomore exploded for a career-high 36 points and added six rebounds to lead the Lakers past Holy Trinity Episcopal (Melbourne), 67-60, and into the Class 3A Final Four.

Jordan Tillery, Wing/Guard, Oak Ridge (Orlando): The Georgia Tech signee dropped 20 points on Lake Worth in an 85-60 Class 7A regional playoff win.

Kameren Wright, Guard, Olympia (Orlando): The 6-5 senior poured in 20 points in a 75-49 regional playoff win against Windermere High.

A.J. Smith, Shooting Guard, Ocoee: Junior scored 20 points in a regional playoff loss to Evans.

Josiah Shackelford, Shooting Guard, Seminole (Sanford): The 6-4 senior exploded for 26 points, including 9 for 9 from the free-throw line, in a 75-64 regional playoff win against University High (Orlando).

Mo Kamara, Forward, University High (Orlando): The 6-8 junior broke loose for 27 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double in a regional playoff loss to Seminole (Sanford).

Ameer Ramadan, Point Guard, Orlando Christian Prep: Star senior turned in a stellar game with 19 points, including 15 on three-pointers, and five assists in a 66-48 regional playoff win against North Tampa Christian.

Jermarien Williams, Small Forward, Leesburg: The 6-8 senior scored 15 points in a 61-57 regional playoff victory against Tampa Jesuit.

Jalen Brown, Combo Guard, Leesburg:The junior recorded 15 points in a regional playoff victory against Tampa Jesuit.

RJ Ingram, Combo Guard, Lake Highland Prep (Orlando): Sophomore exploded for 23 points and six rebounds in a 66-53 regional playoff loss to The Villages Charter.

Nathan Kirk, Guard, Mainland (Daytona Beach): Super sophomore scored 14 points to lead the Buccaneers past Tallahassee Rickards, 42-36, and into the Class 5A Final Four. Earlier, he recorded 21 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals in a 56-44 win against Pensacola Washington.

Arron McGee, Shooting Guard, Palm Bay: Sophomore dropped 26 points on The Villages Charter in a 78-73 Class 4A regional final loss.

Ryan Blount, Guard/Forward, Rockledge: Talented senior erupted for 31 points in an 87-77 Class 5A regional playoff win against Miami TERRA Environmental.

Martay Barnes, Guard, Holy Trinity Episcopal (Melbourne): Fantastic freshman poured in 27 points to lead the Tigers past Santa Fe Catholic (Lakeland), 63-60, in a Class 3A regional playoff game.
