Jake Beaver, Flowery Branch baseball

Beaver had himself an outing on the mound, pitching five innings of shutout ball and striking out 12 Madison County batters.

Beau Brailey, Mill Creek baseball

Brailey threw yet another complete game for Mill Creek. He racked up four strikeouts and allowed two hits and no earned runs against Collins Hill.

Trenton Burnett, Loganville baseball

Burnett recorded his second no-hitter of the season. With no hits, no runs and 13 strikeouts, a walk was the one thing that kept him from a perfect game.

Joe Cable, River Ridge baseball

Cable was outstanding on the mound for the Knights, going six innings with nine strikeouts and allowing only one run.

Dzenan Cerimagic, Campbell soccer

Cerimagic netted a hat trick in his team's 5-1 playoff win over Grayson.

Kara Croone, Chamblee soccer

Croone scored five goals to the lead the No. 1-ranked Lady Bulldogs to a 10-0 Class 5A girls state playoff victory over Woodland.

Ryan Ford, Winder-Barrow baseball

Ford helped Winder-Barrow take down former No. 1 Buford, going 3-for-4 with two home runs.

BJ Hughes, First Presbyterian Day baseball

Hughes had a big night against Stratford Academy, going 3-for-4 with two doubles and five RBIs.

Garrett Lambert, Parkview baseball

Lambert threw 5.2 shutout innings versus Baylor (Tennessee) and racked up nine strikeouts while allowing only three hits.

Dane Moehler, Walton baseball

Moehler was a menace on the mound. He went a full seven innings and struck out nine batters while allowing only one run in a win over North Paulding.

Chris Nelson, South Forsyth track and field

Nelson ran the fastest 100- and 200-meter sprint in the state Saturday at 10.28 and 20.87 seconds, respectively. His 200 time cracked the top 10 in the nation.

Olivia Powell, Woodward Academy track and field

Powell ran the fastest 300-meter hurdles time in the state Saturday with her personal record of 42.94.

Paul Ramseur, Pace Academy baseball

He hit a walk-off three-run homer to lift the Knights to a 7-4 win over Lovett. Ramseur went 2-for-4, stole a base and drove in five in the win.

Alex Urías, South Forsyth baseball

Urías was red hot at the plate in a big win over Gainesville. He went 3-for-3 with a double and two RBIs.

Ace Williamson, Carrollton baseball

Williamson had a day to remember at the plate against East Paulding. He had a triple and a home run and scored three runs.
