Here are 10 candidates for your voting consideration

It's time once again to take a deep dive into the Georgia High School Boys Basketball scene to select our Player of the Week. We seek your assistance and ask you to look at this week's candidates and vote for the candidate you find most deserving..

As such, we have 10 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Georgia High School Boys Basketball player of the Week award from December 18-23, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, December 31st at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Marcus Gillespie, Clarke Central

Gillespie dropped 44 points and had nine rebounds in a win over Therrell.

Ashton Williams, Worth County

Williams had one of the highest scoring performances we’ve seen this season. He scored 51 points in the win over Piedmont Academy.

Ace Bailey, McEachern

Baily went off for yet another monster performance when he dropped a crazy 43-point, 19-rebound double-double.

Dennis Scott III, Mount Vernon

Scott had a 17-point, 11-rebound double-double and added four blocks in the win over First Academy.

Kahmare Holmes, Archer

Holmes and Archer dominated Creekside. He led the way with 30 points and nine rebounds, almost completing a double-double. He also added in five assists and five steals.

Kurston Curry, Hart County

Curry did his best Steph Curry impression. He dropped 35 points with seven made threes in a win over Athens Christian.

Caleb Jones, Benedictine

Jones went off for 32 points (shooting 3-for-4 from behind the arc), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the thriller versus Jenkins.

Treylin Davis, Rockmark

Davis had his ninth straight game scoring 20 or more points in a win over Haralson County. He finished with 27 points, nine rebounds, three assists, five steals, and a block.

Tylis Jordan, Shiloh

Jordan dropped 32 points in a win over Carrollton and shot 80% from the field. He stuffed the stat sheet in every other category too, finishing with seven boards, four assists, two steals, and three blocks.

Tony Montgomery, Carver (Columbus)

Montgomery scored 34 points in a win over Spencer, which was the fourth time this season he has scored more than 30 in a game. He did so while shooting 70% from beyond the arc and 76% from the field.
