Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Georgia High School Athlete of the Week for December 18-23 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Sunday, December 31st at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Marcus Gillespie, Clarke Central Boys Basketball

Gillespie dropped 44 points and had nine rebounds in a win over Therrell.

Ashton Williams, Worth County Boys Basketball

Williams had one of the highest scoring performances we’ve seen this season. He scored 51 points in the win over Piedmont Academy.

Ace Bailey, McEachern Boys Basketball

Baily went off for yet another monster performance when he dropped a crazy 43-point, 19-rebound double-double.

Kurston Curry, Hart County Boys Basketball

Curry did his best Steph Curry impression. He dropped 35 points with seven made threes in a win over Athens Christian.

Caleb Jones, Benedictine Boys Basketball

Jones went off for 32 points (shooting 3-for-4 from behind the arc), four rebounds, two assists and two steals in the thriller versus Jenkins.

Treylin Davis, Rockmark Boys Basketball

Davis had his ninth straight game scoring 20 or more points in a win over Haralson County. He finished with 27 points, nine rebounds, three assists, five steals, and a block.

Tylis Jordan, Shiloh Boys Basketball

Jordan dropped 32 points in a win over Carrollton and shot 80% from the field. He stuffed the stat sheet in every other category too, finishing with seven boards, four assists, two steals, and three blocks.

Tony Montgomery, Carver (Columbus) Boys Basketball

Montgomery scored 34 points in a win over Spencer, which was the fourth time this season he has scored more than 30 in a game. He did so while shooting 70% from beyond the arc and 76% from the field.

Jasmine Robinson, The Heat Track (North Cobb High)

Robinson out-shined the majority of the competition at the Galleria Games. The sophomore won the 400m with a 57.30 PR, the 800m with a 2:40.01 PR, the Shot with a 25’-1.25” PR, and the High jump with a 4’-11.75” PR.

Amoi Hagans, ATL Zoom Athletics (Newton High)

Hagans took home gold in the 60m with a 7.55 which is a personal best.

Jaylen Scott, Heart of Georgia (Mundy’s Mill)

Scott took home gold in the 60m at the Galleria Games with a time of 6.87.

Nicolas Crosswhite, Quicksilver Track Club

Crosswhite was in his own league in both the high and long jump. He won both with a PR of 6’-6.75” in the High jump and a PR of 22’-9.25” in the long jump.

Seth Daugherty, North Forsyth Wrestling

Daugherty finished 3-0 with two pins in Gainesville, which pushes his record to 27-1 on the season with 24 pins.

Tianna Thompson, Galloway Girls Basketball

Thompson went off for 33 points with seven made threes, seven rebounds, five assists, and five steals to help her team take home the Deep South Classic.

Danaya Stokes, Galloway Girls Basketball

Stokes had a big-time double-double, with 22 points, 15 rebounds and three steals.

Shy Foster, Lamar County Girls Basketball

Foster was unguardable in a win over Northgate. She dropped 37 points, almost outscoring the whole Northgate team herself. She also had 10 boards, locking in the double-double, and adding two assists and three steals.

Aubrey Beckham, Hebron Christian Girls Basketball

Beckham had herself a night, with five boards, seven assists and 26 points to give her 1,000 career points.

Michel Robbins, Jefferson Girls Basketball

Robbins scored 29 points, shooting 11-of-13 with six steals, three rebounds and three assists.
