It's time once again to take a deep dive into the Georgia High School Girls Basketball scene to select our Player of the Week. We seek your assistance and ask you to look at this week's candidates and vote for the candidate you find most deserving..

As such, we have nine athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Georgia High School Girls Basketball player of the Week award from January 22-27, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, February 4th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Tianna Thompson, Galloway

Thompson eclipsed 2,000 career points and did so in style. She finished with 25 points, five assists, and 10 steals, while also getting a win over Kings Ridge.

Kie’Aundria Acree, Monroe

The freshman was unstoppable in a blowout win over Columbus. She finished with 37 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and four steals.

Lyric Green, Dodge County

Green led her team to a victory over East Laurens with a 20-point, 15-rebound double-double. She also contributed with three assists, two steals, and two blocks.

Myla Benton, Greater Atlanta Christian

Benton came up clutch in a close win over Kell. She finished with 12 points, 15 rebounds, two steals and three assists.

Londyn Walker, Milton

Walker flirted with a triple-double with 17 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists in a win over Lambert.

Kaylon Jackson, Discovery

Jackson did a little bit of everything in a win over North Gwinnett. She finished with 24 points, eight assists and six rebounds, helping Discovery to a 7-1 region record.

Kitali Youmans, Mount Paran Christian

Youmans had a near triple-double in a win over South Atlanta. She finished with 13 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists.

Amilya Taft, Creekview

Taft had a monster double-double in a big win. She had game highs with 27 points, 17 rebounds, and then added in three assists, two blocks and a steal.

Chloe Evans, Mays

Evans pilled up her stats in aa win over Banneker. She finished with 19 points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals.
