Vote: Who is the Georgia Girls Basketball Player of the Week (2/26/2024)?

It's time once again to take a deep dive into the Georgia High School Girls Basketball scene to select our Player of the Week. We seek your assistance and ask you to look at this week's candidates and vote for the candidate you find most deserving.

As such, we have 13 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Georgia High School Girls Basketball player of the Week award from February 19-24, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 3rd at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Dani Tofye, Grayson

Tofye was completely unstoppable and that’s not an understatement. In a win over McEachern she scored 34 points, while McEachern as a team finished with 31. She also had 16 rebounds and three steals.

Riley Black, Chestatee

Black had an insane performance in a win over Heritage. She finished with 30 points, hauled in 18 rebounds and dished out four assists.

Lucy Hood, Rabun County

Hood led her team in points with 19, and assists with seven, and hauled in five rebounds in a win over Mount Pisgah.

Kie’Aundria Acree, Monroe-Albany

Acree has been balling all year and that didn’t stop in a win over Mary Persons. She finished with 28 points, 11 rebounds, five assists, and four steals.

Kylie Watkins, White County

Watkins did everything in her power to help her team get a win. She finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds, six steals, five assists, and four blocks. Her performance was a big reason that White County advanced to its first Elite 8 in 40 years.

Ashanti Brown, Bryan County

Brown had a crazy double-double in a win over Heard County. She finished with 29 points, 19 rebounds and four steals.

Taliah Cornish, Maynard Jackson

Cornish finished with 26 points, two rebounds, and two assists to lead her squad to a dominant win over Kell and to advance to the Elite 8.

Jordan Adair Brooks, Union Grove

Brooks dropped a game-high 28 points to lead Union Grove to its 28th win on the season and helping it advance to the Elite 8.

CJ Wilson, Stockbridge

Wilson finished with 23 points, seven rebounds, and five steals to help Stockbridge barely squeeze by Southwest Dekalb with a 63-61 victory.

Tianna Thompson, Galloway

Thompson went off in a win over Elbert County. She scored 30 points and had six assists, while Elbert County as a team only finished with 33 points.

Hailey Wortmann, Midtown

Wortmann had a dominant double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds to help Midtown knock off Greater Atlanta Christian.

Sha’nya Heath, Arabia Mountain

Heath couldn’t be stopped in a win over Eagles Landing. She scored a game-high 33 points and hauled in five rebounds.

Londyn Walker, Milton

Walker did it all in a win over Discovery and flirted with a triple-double and not to far from a quadruple-double. She finished with 16 points, 12 assists, seven rebounds and six steals.
