Here are the candidates for SBLive Sports Maryland High School Boys Basketball Player of the Week for February 26-March 3 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive's staff. Read through our notes on each nominee and then cast your vote in out poll.

Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 10th at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced next week.

Here are this week's nominees:

Xander Alarie, St. Andrew’s Episcopal: Alaire, a senior forward, posted a double-double (17 points and 11 rebounds) in St. Andrew’s 61-41 decision over Severn at the Maryland Private Schools State Tournament.

Jordan Brown, Broadneck: The senior guard totaled 52 points in two games, scoring 17 including his 1,000th career point in the Bruins’ 73-59 victory over Annapolis in the Class 4A East Region II quarterfinal, and 35 in a 70-60 semifinal win over Leonardtown.

Kam Carter, Archbishop Spalding: The sophomore point guard scored 54 points in three games in the Baltimore Catholic League Tournament, including 25 in a quarterfinal victory over St. Maria Goretti, and finished with 12 points and seven steals in a 60-48 semifinal win over Mount St. Joseph.

Francis Folefac, Mount Zion: The junior forward had 19 points, 12 rebounds and four assists as Mount Zion defeated Lanham Christian, 64-58, in the second round of the Maryland Private Schools State Tournament.

Kam Lawson, Milford Mill: The sophomore guard had 19 points as Milford Mill defeated Overlea, 69-58, in the Class 3A North Region I quarterfinals.

Josiah LeGree, St. Frances: The senior guard totaled 59 points in three games, including 25 points (six rebounds, three assists and three assists) in the championship game as St. Frances won the Baltimore Catholic League Tournament title at Goucher College.

Ashton Meeks, DeMatha: The sophomore guard finished with 27 points in DeMatha’s 70-53 victory over Riverdale Baptist in the second round of the Maryland Private Schools State Tournament.

Jayden Saunders, Long Reach: Saunders, a senior guard, had 35 points (27 in the second half) in Long Reach’s 66-53 victory over Centennial in the Class 3A South Region II semifinals.

Keon Scott, Meade: The freshman guard had 30 points and five assists in the Mustangs; 67-54 victory over Crofton in the Class 4A East Region I semifinals.

Jerome Williams, Rock Creek Christian: Williams scored 23 points in Rock Creek’s 67-65 victory over Bishop McNamara in the second round of the Maryland Private Schools State Tournament.
