The Zephyrs scored all the runs they needed in the first inning. Seth Nelson pitched a shutout through four innings, and he finished with seven innings pitched, allowing one earned run, six hits, six strikeouts and two walks.

After allowing four runs in the top of the first inning, the Trojans chipped away until the seventh inning when Kyle Carlberg, Jake Lundquist and Jake Hemann hit RBIs to keep the Trojans title hopes alive.

Lyle erupted in the third inning for all of its runs in the game while pitchers Colin Anderson and Carter Haala kept New Ulm Cathedral at bay.

Carsen Boushee led Fosston with two hits and two RBIs. Sophomore Luke Illies had one RBI on three hits for the Jaguars.
