Yazoo County girls basketball PF Shakeria Robinson voted SBLive’s Mississippi High School Athlete of the Week
Congratulations to Yazoo County girls basketball power forward Shakeria Robinson for being voted SBLive’s Mississippi High School Athlete of the Week for Dec. 20-26!
The senior scored 31 points and snatched 21 rebounds in a 59-44 win over Magee.
Robinson received 52.37% of the vote, beating out Starkville Academy's Jarius Jordan who finished second with 38.35%. Ingomar's Macie Phifer finished third with 6.34% and East Webster's Chandler Hodges finished fourth with 2.11%. There were over 33,000 votes tallied this week!

Kinsley Gordon, Myrtle Girls Basketball: Had 31 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists in a 63-37 over Falkner.
Tariyah Washington, Greenville Christian Girls Basketball: Recorded 25 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists in a 54-36 win over Clinton Christian Academy.
Elise Jackson, Purvis Girls Basketball: Jackson had 21 points and 6 rebounds in a 68-25 win over Sacred Heart.
Demeriuntia Jackson, Brookhaven Boys Basketball: Tallied 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists in win over Amite County. Also recorded 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists in loss against Newton.
Chandler Hodges, East Webster Boys Basketball: Hodges had 29 points in a 71-57 win over Pisgah.
Shan Culpepper, East Webster Girls Basketball: Scored 20 points in a 55-32 win against Pisgah.
Macie Phifer, Ingomar Girls Basketball: Scored 35 points in a 59-54 win over Hart County (KY) in the Beach Bash at Gulf Shores High School.
Adin Johnson, Ingomar Boys Basketball: Scored 37 points, including 7 three-pointers in a 67-53 win over Saraland in the Admiral’s Classic at Bayside Academy.
Jarius Jordan, Starkville Academy Boys Basketball: Tallied 23 points,5 assists, and 4 rebounds in a 63-47 win over Pine Grove in the East Webster Christmas Classic.
