WINTER GARDEN, Fla.- Jayden Williams had 18 points and 10 rebounds to lead Windermere Prep to a 67-60 win over Santa Fe Catholic on Thursday night at Lakers Gym. Williams, a senior forward, is a Dartmouth commit.

Windermere Prep (16-7) led 61-60 with 31 seconds to play before ending the game on a 6-0 run. The Lakers defense stood tall when it mattered most, and senior guard Drew Kousaie and junior guard Eduardo Placer hit clutch free throws down the stretch.

Placer scored 15 points and racked up 5 rebounds and 5 assists to help secure the win.

The Hawks (12-12) were led by senior guard and Saint Leo commit Trey Lane who finished with a game-high 26 points, including six made three-pointers. Senior guard Cooper Ellis added 12 points, while junior forward Harvey Wilson added 10.

Here are three takeaways from the game:

TREY LANE IS ONE OF THE BEST SHOOTERS IN THE STATE

Back in December, Lane eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his career. Lane made his 50th three-pointer of the season, after knocking down six threes in nine attempts tonight.

WINDERMERE PREP HAS A LETHAL BIG 3

When Jayden Williams, Eduardo Placer and ZZ Clark are scoring in double-figures, the Lakers are a tough team to beat. The trio combined to score 44 of the team’s 67 points in the win.

HARVEY WILSON IS A DOUBLE-DOUBLE MACHINE

Wilson picked up his second double-double in his last three games with 10 points and 12 rebounds. That's his fifth double-double of the season.
