SBLive is taking a closer look and getting your opinion on who was the Most Valuable MVP at the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state championships at Duke University. All four were brilliant in leading their teams to state titles and earning individual MVP honors in their respective classifications, but who stood above the rest?

Here are your choices:

4A - Emma Adams, D.H. Conley
After throwing a pair of complete games in the first two contests of the 4A championship series with East Forsyth, a 1-0, 10 inning loss and a 2-1 victory, Adams went back to the circle in the seven thing inning the decisive third game and helped the Vikings escape a bases loaded, no out jam, to preserve a 3-0 victory which clinched DHC’s first state crown since 2015.

3A - Kenna Raye Dark, Eastern Alamance
In a tough two-game sweep of North Buncombe, pitcher Kenna Raye Dark delivered. In the first game she fired a 1-hit shutout as her team prevailed in a 1-0 walk-off victory. She struck out 13. Defensive errors put her in some trouble in the second game, but she persevered and led her squad to a 3-2 title clinching victory, as she threw a second straight 1-hitter with eight strikeouts.

2A - Lily Huneycutt, West Stanly
In a two game sweep of Washington High, West Stanly’s junior ace Lily Honeycutt was tough, especially in the clutch. Honeycutt allowed just five hits over 14 innings in the series, striking out 20 batters, allowing just five hits and three earned runs. She also added an RBI at the plate.

1A - Ali Glover, South Stanly
Senior Ali Glover struck 16 in South Stanly’s 3-2 win over Bear Grass Charter in the opening game of the Class 1A state finals, and then took her game up another notch in game two, striking out 10 more as she blanked Bear Grass, 4-0, in the title clinching second game. In helping the Rebel Bulls lock down their title.
