Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Western North Carolina high school offensive football player of the week for Oct. 23 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote in our poll. You may vote as often as you like. Voting will conclude on Saturday, October 28 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week's poll. HERE ARE THIS WEEK'S NOMINEES

Ricky Tolbert, Asheville School: Tolbert completed 11 of 12 passes for for 135 yards and four touchdowns in a 63-0 win over Southlake Christian.

Logan Brown, Avery: Brown ran for 113 yards and three touchdowns in a 39-21 win over Owen.

Ben Austin, Owen: Austin had five receptions for 158 yards and two touchdowns in a 39-21 loss to Avery.

Maddox Greene, Watauga: Greene had 203 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 23 carries in a 54-48 win over Freedom.

Kaden Davis, Freedom: Davis threw for 216 yards and four touchdowns in a 54-48 loss to Watauga.

Isaiah Lackey, Hickory: Lackey ran for 181 yards and four touchdowns in a 61-14 win over Foard.

Shannon Wingate, North Lincoln: Wingate ran for 268 yards and three touchdowns in a 38-7 win over West Iredell.
