Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Eastern North Carolina high school football defensive player of the week for Oct. 31  as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote in our poll. You may vote as many times as you like. Kamonte Carter, North Brunswick: Carter had a fumble return for a touchdown and forced two fumbles in a 34-14 win over Ashley.

Dontario Austin, South View: Austin recorded 16 tackles in a 21-20 loss to Britt.

Mason Hinnant, Hunt: Hinnant finished with nine tackles and five tackles for loss in a 27-10 loss to Fike.

Reagan Printy, Hoggard: Printy had 14 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and a half-sack in a 44-7 win over New Hanover.

Keegan Callahan, West Carteret: Callahan recorded 18 tackles in a 30-19 win over Croatan.

Dylan Burton, Harnett Central: Burton had 14 tackles and a sack in a 10-3 win over Triton.
