Here are the candidates for SBLive’s Western North Carolina high school defensive football player of the week for Oct. 31 as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote in our poll. You may vote as many times as you want. HERE ARE THIS WEEK'S NOMINEES

Nathan McMahon, Asheville School: McMahon recorded 10 tackles, a sack and three tackles for loss in a 55-12 win over Southlake Christian.

Taylor McClure, Hayesville: McClure finished with eight tackles and had four tackles for loss in a 14-6 win over Andrews.

Cuttler Adams, Robbinsville: Adams had a 100-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 14-8 win over Scotland County. He also had 117 rushing yards and a score.

Josiah Glaspie, Swain County: Glaspie had a 93-yard interception return for a touchdown in a 14-8 loss to Robbinsville.

Jordan Lineberger, Newton-Conover: Lineberger recorded 15 tackles, three of which were for a loss, in a 34-12 loss to Maiden.
