We have 10 players nominated this week for SBLive’s North Carolina High School Baseball Player of the Week from March 3-9 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Saturday, March 16 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:

Dalton Hazlett, Northwest Cabarrus

The senior right-hander had a splendid outing, throwing a one-hitter with 11 strikeouts and a walk as the Trojans beat Lake Norman Charter 7-0.

Brett Smith, Uwharrie Charter

Smith threw the first five innings of a combined no-hitter, striking out nine, as the 1-A defending state champions beat The Burlington School 2-1.

Harrison Holbrook, West Wilkes

Wilkes turned on the power by smashing a pair of two-run homers in a 10-8 loss to Watauga.

Bryant Kimbrell, Pinecrest

It doesn’t get much more exciting than this. Bryant Kimbrell blasted a three-run walkoff home run as the Patriots beat Myers Park 4-1. On top of that, he was the winning pitcher with 1 1/3 innings of relief.

Reese Guertin, South Mecklenburg

Guertin supplied the bulk of the run production by going 2-for-5 with a double and 3 RBIs as the Sabres beat Lake Norman 5-4 in nine innings.

Sawyer Black, Wesleyan Christian Academy

Black was 2-for-4 with a home run, triple and 2 RBIs in the Trojans’ 5-0 win over Covenant Day.

B.J. Brown, Lee County

Brown went 2-for-3 with a home run, double and 3 RBIs as the Yellow Jackets beat Union Pines 7-3. He was also 2-for-4 with a double and 2 RBIs in a 13-8 win over Cape Fear.

Gabe Adams, Wayne Country Day

Adams pitched 6 1/3 innings, allowing five hits and three unearned runs with seven strikeouts as the Chargers beat Charlotte Christian 5-3. Adams was also 2-for-3 with a home run and 2 RBIs in a 20-10 win over Faith Christian.

Austin Hardy, Greene Central

Hardy was overpowering from the mound by firing a five-inning one hitter with 14 strikeouts in the Rams’ 12-0 rout of Eastern Wayne.

Carson Dahle, East Lincoln

Dahle was 3-for-3 with a double and 3 RBIs as the Mustangs knocked off North Gaston 8-1.
