Louisville shuts out University School 3-0 to advance to OHSAA baseball Division 2 regional semifinal
CANTON, Ohio – Louisville took an early lead and pitcher Anthony Warner made it stand up in a 3-0 win over University School in an OHSAA baseball Division II regional semifinal on Thursday.
The Leopards got on the board in the first inning on a single by Connor Adelmand that scored JJ Popick. Karson Siegfried then hit a two-out double to score Popick in the third inning to make it 2-0.
Louisville got its final run in the sixth when Caleb Miller scored on a ground ball by Connor Morley.
Three runs were more than enough for Warner, who went the distance on the mound, allowing just one hit while striking out 10 for the Leopards.
Louisville will now face Chardon on Friday at 5 p.m. for a chance to play in the state semifinals at Canal Park in Akron.
