Sterlington freshman Ava West voted SBLive's Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week
West has two huge games at the plate in helping Lady Panthers stay perfect
It's been a good start for Sterlington's softball team, and a good start for one of its players.
Ava West, a freshman for the Lady Panthers, went 4 for 7 with two doubles, a triple and four RBIs in wins over Buckeye and Tioga. Sterlington, the 2023 Division III non-select runner up, moved its record to 10-0 and to No. 1 in the power ratings.
For her efforts, West was voted the SBLive Louisiana High School Athlete of the Week for Feb. 26-March 3.
