Former Ohio high school football star Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift appear to be 'ready for it'

Is the former Ohio high school football star dating the world's most famous pop star?

In his career, Kansas City Chiefs tight end and former Cleveland Heights High School star Travis Kelce has made 825 catches, 71 of them for touchdowns. But his most impressive catch might not have been with a football.

When the Chiefs defeated the Chicago Bears 41-7 on Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes hit Kelce midway through the third quarter with a 3-yard touchdown pass. But it wasn’t Mahomes or Kelce getting all the attention.

Up in the luxury box with Travis Kelce’s mom Donna sat someone more popular than either of the two Kansas City superstars – Taylor Swift.

It all stems back to Kelce feeling like he missed his shot with Swift when he wasn’t able to give her a bracelet at Swift’s concert at Arrowhead in July on her New Eras tour. Kelce was hoping to give the 12-time Grammy Award winner his phone number.

After Kelce took it personally, feeling like Swift didn’t want to meet the NFL star, it became such big news that even ‘First Things First’ on FoxSports1 had a segment about it, where noted Chiefs fan Nick Wright put Taylor Swift on his Chiefs bulletin board of people who had snubbed the team or one of its players this past offseason.

But now it looks like things between Kelce and Swift are good, as Swift could be seen all game long screaming and clapping at every positive play for Kansas City and its tight end, who is from Westlake, Ohio.

And then after the game, Jarrett Payton of WGN in Chicago captured footage of Kelce and Swift exiting together.

At Cleveland Heights, Kelce was a quarterback and in his senior year in 2007, he threw for 1,523 yards and 21 touchdowns and ran for over 1,000 yards and 10 scores. He was a letter winner in three sports, as he played basketball and baseball as well.

It looks like Kelce was able to “Shake it off” after his first attempt with Swift. Maybe now they will write their own “Love Story.”

Then again, we should have seen it coming as Kelce was born in “1989” and plays for a team that wears “Red.”
