Cole Prusia, former Oregon State and Princeton pledge, commits to Oregon Ducks as preferred walk-on

Tualatin High School star and former Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year Cole Prusia has finally found a permanent home.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound pass-catcher was once committed to both Oregon State and Princeton, but announced his final decision Monday.

Prusia is set to become an Oregon Duck as a preferred walk-on.

The two-way standout burst onto the scene as a junior during a COVID-19-shortened spring season at Tualatin, where he was arguably the state's top player on both offense and defense.

Prusia earned the Oregon Gatorade Player of the Year award, hauling in 31 passes for 554 yards and nine touchdowns while also contributing nine pass break-ups and three interceptions. 

Shorty after the season, the wide receiver prospect announced his commitment to Oregon State.

But he decommitted a few months later and chose Princeton for its combination of academic and athletic offerings.

Subsequently, scholarship offers from Oregon State and Idaho filled up during the December early signing period and February traditional signing period. 

In the end, Prusia elected to stay close to home after all. 

He will be a Duck.
