Brayden Platt, nation's No. 6 linebacker in 2024, discusses early recruitment, shot put state title

Yelm High School (Washington) four-star linebacker Brayden Platt has had a busy spring

Yelm High School (Washington) sophomore linebacker Brayden Platt has already accomplished more in his high school athletic career than most talented athletes.

The 6-foot-1, 220-pound football and track and field standout is rated the nation's No. 6 linebacker in the class of 2024 and recently won a state title in the shot put.

Platt holds offers from Arizona, California, Michigan, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Washington State, but is also hearing from several others.

At Saturday's Northwest Showcase, the Washington star discussed his shot put state title, his early recruiting success and his summer plans.

He also spent some time chatting with Oregon Ducks coach Dan Lanning, who was a guest speaker at the event.
