Colorado, Deion Sanders hosting nation's No. 1 running back on return visit this weekend

Class of 2025 Mater Dei (California) five-star running back Jordon Davison will be in Boulder this weekend

The Colorado Buffaloes are hosting the No. 8 USC Trojans in a marquee match-up Saturday.

And the guest list - both in terms of celebrities and recruits - should be jaw-dropping.

Arguably the headliner among top prospects is Mater Dei (California) five-star talent Jordon Davison, the nation's No. 12 overall prospect and No. 1 running back in the class of 2025.

This weekend's trip marks a return trip for the 5-foot-11, 203-pound ball-carrier after visiting Boulder earlier this year.

Still, the battle to land his commitment will be tough, especially with Texas looming.

The Longhorns have already secured a class of 2024 Mater Dei star in Brandon Baker and are targeting several other bluechip Monarchs in the future, including Davison and recent visit Marcus Harris, one of the nation's top 2025 wide receivers.

But that new pipeline in unlikely to deter or intimidate Deion Sanders and his coaching staff, as they have gone after the nation's top prospects regardless of home state, school ties or star rating.

Currently, Colorado's 2024 recruiting class is ranked No. 75 nationally and the 2025 group comes in at No. 15 - with two early pledges.

Will the Buffaloes add to their future haul this weekend?

They'll certainly have the stage set for a big showing.
