Antwann Hill decommits from Colorado; Nation's No. 5 quarterback reopens recruitment

After a red-hot start to the college football season, the Deion Sanders-led Colorado Buffaloes have fizzled to a 4-8 record, and a coaching staff shakeup has quickly followed.

On Sunday, Colorado lost a massive recruit, as Houston County (Georgia) elite quarterback Antwann Hill announced his decommitment.

"I was going to reclassify to 2024, but after talking about it with my family we made the decision for me to stay for my senior season," he said. 

The 6-foot-4 1/2, 205-pound playmaker is rated the nation's No. 5 quarterback in the class of 2025.

Hill originally committed to Colorado in October, but Colorado's coaching staff has lost both offensive coordinator Sean Lewis and tight end coach Tim Brewster, both of whom are highly-regarded, experienced assistants.

Colorado also lost the commitment of 2025 First Baptist Academy (Florida) bluechip athlete Winston Watkins Jr.
