Massive transfer portal target arrives for Oregon Ducks visit

A key Oregon visitor arrived for a weekend

The Oregon Ducks are massive players in the NCAA's transfer portal, flexing their muscles early with the addition of Oklahoma quarterback Dillon Gabriel, arguably the top available asset.

But Dan Lanning may not be done adding former Oklahoma stars.

On Friday morning, Oklahoma freshman offensive lineman Cayden Green published an Instagram post announcing his arrival in Eugene for a weekend visit:

The 6-foot-5, 316-pound offensive lineman started four games for the Sooners this fall and was projected as the future starting left tackle.

Green is widely regarded as the top offensive lineman in the transfer portal, and one of the best overall players available.

His recruitment is particularly noteworthy given that offensive line is a massive need for many programs around the country, and while the portal is loaded at quarterback and running back, in particular, the market is thin at Green's position.

According to On3, Green will visit Missouri following his trip to Eugene.

Coming out of Lee's Summit North (Missouri) in the class of 2023, the offensive tackle was an Under Armour All-American and rated a top-100 prospect nationally.

But after a stellar freshman campaign, Green appeared to be a cornerstone piece of Oklahoma's offensive line for years to come.

Instead, it looks like Oregon and Missouri are in a dogfight for arguably the nation's top transfer offensive lineman.
