Bear Tenney on Oregon Ducks visit: 'If it all goes well... I'll be more than open to commit' (Listen)

Oregon is hosting a key visitor this weekend

This weekend, the Oregon Ducks are set to host class of 2025 Lehi (Utah) tight end Bear Tenney.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound pass-catcher is still a three-star prospect, but his offer sheet tells a different story.

So far, Tenney has racked up offers from nearly 40 college football programs, highlighted by Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas, USC, Washington and others.

But, the big-bodied pass-catcher admits his recruitment could soon be winding to an end.

"This visit is very important to me, to be honest," Tenney said. "I'm nearing the end of my recruitment and I'm starting to feel more and more comfortable. If it all goes well at Oregon this weekend, I'll be more than open to commit there."

Tenney, who has previously lived in Texas and Arizona, said he has a strong relationship with both tight end coach Drew Mehringer and head coach Dan Lanning.

He also indicated that part of the appeal of transferring to Lehi this offseason was that they run an offense similar to Oregon's.

Tenney feels the move could help prepare him for the college level.
