Oregon Ducks hosting 5-star basketball prospect this weekend: Report

Oregon is hosting one of the nation's top combo guards this weekend

The Oregon Ducks are set to host one of the nation's top combo guards this weekend.

According to 24/7 High School Hoops, La Lumiere School (Indiana) five-star combo guard Jerry Easter is set to be in Eugene this weekend.

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound playmaker is rated the nation's No. 26 overall prospect and No. 5 combo guard in the class of 2025.

Easter has yet to name a leader, but Michigan State has hosted the Midwest guard multiple times and is certainly going to be a team to watch.

As for Oregon, the program is looking to bounce back on the recruiting trail.

After signing a top-10 class in 2023, the Ducks signed a class that barely cracked the top-50 in the 2024 cycle.

Oregon has already secured the commitment of Central Catholic (Oregon) three-star shooting guard Isaac Carr, but Easter would give Dana Altman's crew a certified headliner.

Will they make it happen?
