We have 10 athletes nominated this week for SBLive’s South Carolina High School Athlete of the Week from Feb. 26-March 2 and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 9 at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced in next week’s poll.

Here are this week's nominees:
Joyce Edwards, Camden, Girls Basketball
The South Carolina signee had one last game to play in her high school career and it was a dandy. Edwards scored 27 points – 61 percent of her team’s total – and grabbed 20 rebounds as the Bulldogs pounded Wren 44-22 to win the 3-A state championship, their second in a row. She also blocked 6 shots and had 3 steals.
Cam Scott, Lexington, Boys Basketball
Scott gave Lexington one final standout performance in a brilliant five-year career. The Texas signee scored 21 points and had 12 rebounds in the Wildcats’ 67-48 win over James F. Byrnes in the 5-A state championship game. The 6-foot-6 senior scored 12 of his points in the third quarter, helping his team take command of the game.
Jaleel McGee, Powdersville, Boys Basketball
McGee scored 18 points as the Patriots downed Darlington 53-47 for the 3-A state championship. The junior guard was 8-of-10 from the free throw line. He also had 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
Tamia Watkins, Andrew Jackson, Girls Basketball
The 6-foot-1 junior forward/guard put on a dominating performance as the Volunteers rolled past Landrum 78-60 to win the 2-A state championship. Watkins had 26 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists.
Jaleya Ford, Lake View, Girls Basketball
Ford had 21 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals and 5 blocked shots as the Wild Gators held off Denmark-Olar 49-46 to win the 1-A state championship. The 5-foot-6 senior got a steal and hit the game-tying shot with 1:03 left and put Lake View ahead to stay on a layup with 29 seconds remaining.
Korie Corbett, Ridge View, Boys Basketball
Corbett scored 18 points on 7-of-12 shooting as the Blazers held off Riverside 58-52 to win the 3-A state championship.
B.J. Etheridge, River Bluff, Baseball
Etheridge struck out 8 in 4 innings and went 1-for-3 with two RBIs in the Gators’ 12-1 romp over Wren in the Opterra Solutions Invitational. He also earned a save by hurling a scoreless seventh inning in a 2-0 win over West Ashley.
Karley Hand, Loris, Softball
The senior right-hander, a Charleston Southern recruit, pitched a five-hitter with eight strikeouts as the Lions beat Conway 4-0 to win their own season-opening tournament.
Luke Roupe, North Myrtle Beach, Baseball
The junior right-hander, who has committed to Vanderbilt, allowed no hits and struck out 11 in five innings as the Chiefs opened their season with an 11-0 thumping of Socastee.
Annie Ruth Eliason, West Florence, Softball
Eliason threw six hitless innings with 12 strikeouts in the Knights; 5-0 win over Sumter.
