2. Woodinville 19-1 (4A)

To clear Falcons out of contending path, top priority is disrupting Sheffey-Thompson chemistry.

3. Pasco 18-0 (4A)

Last ranking: No. 11.

Might be the best story going around the state as Bulldogs close book on unbeaten MCC slate.

4. Arlington 14-2 (3A)

Last ranking: No. 4.

Both losses to 4A contenders (Tahoma, Woodinville), so Runnin' Eagles in great shape for 3A run.

5. Ellensburg 20-0 (2A)

Last ranking: No. 5.

Despite record, hasn't been an easy road with return-to-heath uncertainty around key figures.

6. Mead 18-0 (3A)

Last ranking: No. 6.

Quantae Anderson sees striking similarities between this squad and his 2013 state winning team.

7. Camas 13-6 (4A)

Last ranking: No. 7.

Papermakers joke if they cannot find a way to win close games, they will just go for early blowouts.

8. Tahoma 17-2 (4A)

Last ranking: No. 8.

This spunky Bears' squad has grit. And fortunately, it also has an all-state point guard in Hassmann.

9. Tumwater 19-1 (2A)

Last ranking: No. 9.

This group reminds a few coaches around the state of dominant Lynden team that won 2A title in 2020.

10. Sumner 18-2 (4A)

Last ranking: No. 10.

Quietly repeated as 4A SPSL champions while co-existing in shadows of other state-contending teams.

11. Lake Stevens 16-2 (4A)

Last ranking: No. 11.

Second loss to Snohomish was with COVID-depleted lineup, and Viks did follow up by winning 4A Wesco.

12. Lake Washington 14-3 (3A)

Last ranking: No. 12.

It's "Go" time for the reigning 3A runners-up, who probably don't have the February jitters other clubs do

13. Lincoln of Tacoma 16-1 (3A)

Last ranking: No. 14.

Fast-paced Abes have three girls who can really shoot it from the perimeter in Wells, Robinson and Warren.

14. Snohomish 12-2 (3A)

Last ranking: No. 15.

Very few guards have had the extended run of high-level performances that Ella Gallatin has. She's special.

15. Warden 19-0 (2B)

Last ranking: No. 16.

Scary thing for other 2B hopefuls is that Cougars have won a ton of game featuring next-generation talent.

16. Eastlake 18-2 (4A)

Last ranking: No. 17.

Backed up all those wins by reaching 4A KingCo title game, and defense is good enough to carry the day.

17. La Conner 17-1 (2B)

Last ranking: No. 18.

Braves are a well-oiled machine for 32 minutes, and have passed brutally tough schedule with flying colors.

18. Chiawana 14-5 (4A)

Last ranking: No. 19.

Riverhawks grab pivotal No. 2 seed from MCC - and could really emerge as 4A darkhorse contender in March.

19. Nooksack Valley 16-2 (1A)

Last ranking: No. 21.

Many consider 1A race wide open, but savvy followers know Pioneers are part of clear top tier with LC.

20. Lynden Christian 16-4 (1A)

Last ranking: No. 23.

All Brady Bomber wants for Lyncs is evolving chemistry and continuous improvement as months pass by.

21. Gonzaga Prep 16-3 (4A)

Last ranking: No. 25.

Sitara Byrd gives Bullpups consistent source of scoring - and Mike Arte proven coach this time of year.

22. Emerald Ridge 14-4 (4A)

Last ranking: No. 13.

Jaguars suffered a pair of late-season losses without Carter, but bounced back to reach 4A SPSL title game.

24. Hudson's Bay 15-2 (2A)

Last ranking: Unranked.

For all the frustrating injury-plagued seasons of the past, Hampton finally gets good break - 2A GSHL title.

25. Lakeside of Seattle 13-3 (3A)

Last ranking: Unranked.

Because of controlled style of play, and O'Connor shooting it, still most trusted No. 2 Metro team moving forward.
