CAMAS 59, BELLARMINE PREP 53

Reagan Jamison had a double-double - 19 points, 17 rebounds - and the Papermakers advancde after building a 13-point lead in the fourth quarter - and holding off Bellarmine Prep.

Jamison came alive in the third quarter with three of the team's five 3-point field goals, and the Papermakers lead after three quarters.

Keiara Curtis broke a 16-16 tie with a 3-pointer with 1:31 to go in the first half, and Taylor Teeple added another basket with 32 seconds remaining as the Lions have led much of the game.

Camas jumped out to a 7-2 lead early, but Bellarmine Prep answered on an 11-0 run.

LAKE STEVENS 41, ROGERS OF PUYALLUP 37 (OT)

Baylor Thomas finds the moment, even in low-scoring slugfests.

With Lake Stevens' season on the line in the final seconds of regulation, the senior guard took it right to the rim - and tied the game, 35-35, with her bucket.

"Baylor wants that moment," Lake Stevens girls coach Randall Edens said. "She stepped up and delivered right there."

Lake Stevens scored the only two field goals in the extra session - Camille Jentzsch's short jump shot at the 1:50 mark to give the Vikings the lead for good, and Cori Wilcox's last-second layin to clinch it.

"It was definitely a confidence booster because we do come in ... kind of underestimated," Jentzsch said.

Before Thomas' game-tying basket, Karinna Tel converted two in-the-paint runners - the last giving the Rams a 35-33 lead with 11.7 seconds to go. She led all scorers with 17 points.

RICHLAND 50, SUNNYSIDE 37

Richland's two standouts, junior Kylee Fox and sophomore Macie Milum, finally found the punch to put away the Grizzlies in the fourth quarter. 

Both triggered the team's 9-0 run to start the quarter, capped by Lexi Hay's jump shot, to extend the Bombers' lead to 43-33 at the 6:05 mark.

Fox, the two-time MVP in the Mid-Columbia Conference, led all scorers with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Milum added 19, including a right-corner 3-pointer as part of the team's run.

"I thought they showed a lot of composure, especially in the second half," Richland girls coach Amy Westerfield said. "We finally calmed down. Kylee had some nice putbacks."

Paris Wilson kept the Grizzlies in it with big 3-pointers - four of them - before Richland pulled away over the final eight minutes.

Next up for the Bombers: Top-ranked Woodinville.

"We already played Pasco," Westerfield said. "We played Sumner. Why not Woodinville?

"It will be a good game. They are big and physical, and have good shooters. We are going to have to have more than two players contribute offensively."

EMERALD RIDGE 44, MOSES LAKE 34

Some 4A state tournament veteran programs might groan over this draw - the 9 a.m. game.

But as Emerald Ridge girls basketball coach Arvin Mosley declared, "They don't know any better."

Kali Haizlip and Maya Barnett shared team-high scoring honors with 10 points apiece, but it was 4A SPSL divisional player of the year Monique Carter who put the school's first-ever victory in the Tacoma Dome to bed.

Carter drove the lane, hit a runner and was fouled with 1:47 to go. She missed the free throw, but the Jaguars led, 39-34.

Seconds later, Carter intercepted a Moses Lake pass at midcourt, found a seam and went right back into the lane. Again, she converted the basket and was fouled. This time, she made the free throw to complete the three-point play.

Emerald Ridge led, 42-32, with 1:32 remaining.

"At first, we were a little slow on defense," Carter said. "Coach Mo, he got on us and made sure we knew what we had to do, and we just went out and executed."

Meagan Karstetter's putback basket for the Chiefs cut Emerald Ridge's lead to 35-32 with 3:10 to go, but they would go scoreless the rest of the way.

Teagan Wiltbank tallied half of her game-high 14 points for Moses Lake in the fourth quarter.
