TACOMA, Wash. — No. 2 Curtis needed all five of Devin Whitten's five 3-pointers on Friday night, though none were more timely than his fifth.
Whitten pulled up from eight feet beyond the 3-point arc and drilled a 3, and was fouled as he came down to push the Vikings' lead to seven with 1:23 left.
Whitten hit 5 of 7 3-point attempts and finished with a team-high 16 points and standout 6-foot-4 sophomore point guard Zoom Diallo, a high-major Division I prospect, added 12 rebounds and a game-high five assists to his four points for the Vikings, who play top-ranked Mount Si in Saturday's state championship game.
Union was paced by junior big Yanni Fassilis' 16
