Zoom Diallo, top national 2024 point guard prospect, leaving Curtis High School for Prolific Prep

Diallo led Vikings to back-to-back Washington Class 4A championships in the Tacoma Dome

Five-star point guard Zoom Diallo, SBLive's Washington State Player of the Year for 2022-23 after leading Curtis High School to back-to-back WIAA Class 4A state boys basketball titles, is transferring to Prolific Prep in California for his senior season.

Diallo broke the news Monday to ESPN.com's Paul Biancardi. Two sources close to the situation confirmed the report to SBLive.

Diallo is the No. 14 recruit nationally in ESPN.com's rankings for 2024. He is No. 9 (and the top point guard overall) in 247Sports.com's rankings for the class.

Also named the Gatorade state player of the year, Diallo averaged 20.2 points, 5.5 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game as a junior.

He was fantastic in the WIAA tournament in the Tacoma Dome, leading the Vikings past Camas and Federal Way before tallying a game-high 21 points against Olympia in the Class 4A title game - a 49-43 Curtis victory.

Even though Diallo had dropped hints about returning to go after a Vikings' three-peat, his national recruiting stock - and name-recognition value - had skyrocketed over the past few months.

His finalists for colleges include Arizona, Gonzaga, Kentucky, Texas and late-charging Washington.

Prolific Prep, located in Napa, California, was founded in 2014. It has had a run for NBA Draftees, including Josh Jackson (No. 4 overall in 2017), Gary Trent Jr. (No. 37 overall in 2018) and Jalen Green (No. 2 overall in 2021).

The school finished No. 4 overall in SBLive Sports/Sports Illustrated's Power 25 rankings with a 35-2 record. Its season ended with a loss to IMG Academy in the opening round of GEICO Nationals.

Prolific Prep was eliminated by No. 17 IMG Academy in an opening-round thriller at GEICO Nationals. The Crew avenged their only other loss this season with a win over former No. 22 Dream City Christian (Arizona) in the Grind Session championship game.
