The last week of the regular season was a quiet one, but Mid-Suburban League champ Palatine and Marian Catholic had big wins to climb into the rankings.

The Wolverines open retiring coach Robert Smith's final playoff run on Wednesday against Solorio in the semifinals of their own Class 3A regional.
2. Benet (29-1)
Last week: 2
The Redwings have won 13 straight after victories over Joliet Catholic (62-56) and DePaul Prep (47-43). They play the hosts in the 4A Addison Trail Regional semifinals on Wednesday.
3. Kenwood (24-6)
Last week: 3
The Broncos beat De La Salle 61-57 in their regular-season finale. They play Shepard Wednesday in the 4A Rich Township Regional semis.
4. Joliet West (25-5)
Last week: 4
The Tigers beat Plainfield South 58-47 for their 10th straight win. They host a 4A regional and play crosstown rival Joliet Central on Wednesday.
5. Curie (19-10)
Last week: 5
The Condors have one of the tougher draws in the state. They're the third seed in the 4A Hinsdale Central Sectional, facing Leyden in the Lyons Regional semis on Wednesday. They'll likely have to beat the No. 13 hosts on Friday to advance.
6. Moline (28-3)
Last week: 6
The Maroons cruised past Rock Island Alleman 69-28 for their ninth straight win. They play Minooka Wednesday in a 4A regional semifinal at Bradley-Bourbonnais.
7. Young (21-6)
Last week: 7
The Dolphins end a 15-day break when they play Argo Wednesday in the 4A Oak Park-River Forest Regional semifinals.
8. Hinsdale Central (28-3)
Last week: 8
The Red Devils beat Glenbard West 54-34 for their 20th straight win. They play Proviso West Wednesday in the 4A Lane Regional semifinals.
9. Downers Grove North (27-3)
Last week: 9
The Trojans have won 14 straight after beating Taft 79-49 and Oak Park-River Forest 71-44. They host crosstown rival Downers Grove South Wednesday in a 4A regional semifinal.
10. Brother Rice (27-4)
Last week: 10
The Crusaders beat Bogan 80-51 to end the regular season. They play the hosts in a 4A Eisenhower Regional semifinal on Wednesday

The Trevians beat 24-7 Niles North 62-31 in the Central Suburban League title game for their ninth straight win. They play Elk Grove Wednesday in the 4A Niles North Regional semifinals.
12. Oswego East (25-5)
Last week: 12
The Wolves' winning streak is at seven games after a 64-56 win over Plainfield North. They play Lincoln-Way West Wednesday in the 4A Lockport Regional semis.
13. Lyons (24-5)
Last week: 14
The Lions defeated Proviso West 61-46 and Lake Park 52-46. They play Jones Wednesday in the semifinals of their own 4A regional.
14. St. Rita (21-10)
Last week: 15
The Mustangs have won seven in a row after beating Leo 71-40 and St. Ignatius 73-48. They face Morgan Park Wednesday in the 4A Stagg Regional semifinals.
15. Palatine (24-6)
Last week: NR
The Pirates have won 11 straight after beating Rolling Meadows 54-52 in the Mid-Suburban League title game and downing Highland Park 50-22. They play Grant Wednesday in the semis of their own 4A regional.
16. Rolling Meadows (25-6)
Last week: 13
The Mustangs fell 54-52 to Palatine in the Mid-Suburban League title game. They host a 4A regional and open against Schaumburg on Wednesday.
17. Proviso East (22-6)
Last week: 16
The Pirates beat Leyden 63-52 for their fifth straight win. They could see the No. 9 hosts in the 4A Downers Grove North Regional final if they beat Berwyn-Cicero Morton on Wednesday.
18. Hillcrest (25-3)
Last week: 17
The Hawks play Crete-Monee Wednesday in the 3A Brooks Regional semifinals.
19. Hyde Park (22-6)
Last week: 18
The Thunderbirds are back in action for the first time in 15 days when they play Comer Wednesday in the 3A Nazareth Regional semis.
20. Metamora (27-2)
Last week: 19
The Redbirds have won 25 straight after beating Dunlap 71-48. They play Streator Wednesday in the 3A Washington Regional semifinals.
21. Bolingbrook (23-7)
Last week: 20
The Raiders beat Sandburg 70-51 to wrap up the regular season. They play Lincoln-Way Central Wednesday in the 4A Waubonsie Valley Regional semis.
22. Glenbrook North (25-4)
Last week: 22
The Spartans beat Maine West 104-52. They play Von Steuben Wednesday in the semifinals of their own 4A regional.
23. Sacred Heart-Griffin (27-3)
Last week: 23
The Griffins beat Glenwood 60-31 to end the regular season. They face Springfield Wednesday in the 3A Rochester Regional semis.
24. Mount Carmel (24-6)
Last week: 24
The Caravan cruised past Chicago U-High 72-34 in their regular-season finale. They host a 3A regional and open against Hancock Wednesday.

The Spartans beat Marist 47-41 in overtime and knocked off De La Salle 50-42. They play Richards Wednesday in the 3A Ag. Science Regional semifinals.
