Here are some of the top performances form this week's Iowa high school boys basketball state tournament games. 

Joe Bean, Cedar Rapids Kennedy 

The senior guard was named to the Class 4A all-tournament team, finishing with 43 points, five 3-pointers and six steals for the state runner-up Cougars.

Mason Bechen, North Linn

The captain of the Class 1A all-tournament team, Bechen was a dominant force, scoring 81 points in three games, including 24 in a 57-56 win over Bellevue Marquette in the title game. North Linn made the championship game for the seventh straight season and repeated as 1A champs.

Cam Buffington, Winfield-Mt. Union

Buffington, a University of Iowa football recruit, was named to the Class 1A all-state tournament team. He scored 33 points in two games, to go along with 16 rebounds. Buffington had 21 points and nine rebounds in a quarterfinal win over Lynnville-Sully.

Cyrus Courtney, Cedar Rapids Kennedy

The 6-2 senior guard hit 16 of 34 shots and scored 35 points in three state tournament games. Courtney was an all-tournament selection for the Class 4A state runners-up.

Camden Davis, Hudson

The 6-5 senior finished second among Class 2A scorers in the state tournament with 51 points in three games. An all-tournament pick, Davis led the Pirates with 19 points in their first title-game appearance since 1993.

Kiki Deng, West Des Moines Valley

The 6-4 junior tied for second with 45 points in three state tournament games, helping the Tigers repeat as Class 4A state champions. An all-tournament pick, Deng had 12 points and seven rebounds in the title game.

Caleb Douma, Hull Western Christian

The 6-1 senior drained seven 3-pointers and scored 23 points for the Wolfpack in a 78-51 win over Hudson in the Class 2A state championship game. Western won its three state tournament games by an average of 26.7 points and tied a single-game record with 15 3-pointers in the title game.

Luke Frazell, Waverly-Shell Rock

The 6-6 junior made 20 of 34 shots and scored 52 points in three state tournament games. A Class 3A all-tournament selection, Frazell scored 31 points in a semifinal win over MOC-Floyd Valley.

Kayvion Hodges, Davenport Assumption

The 6-3 junior guard averaged 16.7 points in three state tournament games for the Class 3A champion Knights. Hodges had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds while playing the entire 32 minutes of the title game win over Waverly-Shell Rock.

Damyen Jackson, Davenport Assumption

Tabbed the Class 3A all-state tournament team captain, the 6-foot junior tallied 15 points as the Knights beat Waverly-Shell Rock, 46-45, in the championship game. Assumption won its first state title since repeating in 1999 and 2000.

Trevin Jirak, West Des Moines Valley

The 6-foot-9 junior post led the Tigers with 19 points and eight rebounds in a 63-59 victory over Cedar Rapids Kennedy for the Class 4A state championship. Jirak was 7-for-10 from the field and also blocked five shots.

Alec Lovely, Treynor

Named to the Class 2A all-tournament team, Lovely scored 39 points in two games, including 22 in a quarterfinal win over West Burlington. He hit 15 of 23 shots for 65.2 percent, leading the Cardinals to a semifinal, where they lost to eventual champion Western Christian.

Cole Marsh, Waverly-Shell Rock

The 6-foot-6 senior finished with 50 points, 29 rebounds, eight assists and two blocked shots in three state tournament games. The Class 3A all-tournament pick recorded 14 rebounds in games against Pella and Davenport Assumption for the runner-up Go-Hawks.

Tanner Michael, Hudson

The 6-foot senior guard scored 45 points in three state tournament outings for the Class 2A runner-up Pirates. An all-tournament pick, Hudson made 17 of 19 free throws.

Karsten Moret, Hull Western Christian

The 6-3 junior helped the Wolfpack claim their state-record 11th state championship, leading all Class 2A scorers with 56 points in three games. Moret, an all-tournament honoree, made nine 3-pointers and shot 50 percent, while also grabbing 19 rebounds. He tossed in 23 points in an 83-51 win over Hudson in the championship game.

Ty Pflughaupt, North Linn

The 6-5 senior finished third among Class 1A scorers with 39 points in three state tournament games. Pflughaupt was named to the all-tournament team after making 15 of 32 shots.

Spencer Roeder, Bellevue Marquette

Roeder, a 6-5 junior, helped Marquette reach the Class 1A state championship game, where it fell just short in a 57-56 loss to North Linn. Roeder had 17 points and 14 rebounds in the title game and the all-tournament pick had 41 points and 33 rebounds in three contests.

Micah Schlaak, Cedar Rapids Kennedy

Schlaak tied for second among Class 4A scorers with 45 points in the state tournament. Kennedy was unbeaten until a loss to West Des Moines Valley in the championship game.

Not only did the 6-foot-4 sophomore score 16 points and grab five rebounds for the Knights in a 47-46 win over Waverly-Shell Rock in the Class 3A state title game, but he hit two free throws to snap a 45-45 tie and came up with a steal to seal the victory.

Aiden Stensrud, Lake Mills

The 6-5 junior made the Class 1A all-state tournament team, recording 25 points and 26 rebounds in two games. He had a 14-point, 11-rebound double-double in a semifinal loss to Bellevue Marquette.

Kannon Still, Bellevue Marquette

The 5-6 senior guard helped Marquette Catholic reach the Class 1A state championship game. Still connected on seven 3-point shots and scored 33 points in three state tournament games.

Curtis Stinson Jr., West Des Moines Valley

Stinson, a junior guard, was named captain of the Class 4A state all-tournament team after Valley repeated as champions with a 63-59 win over Cedar Rapids Kennedy. Stinson finished with a 4A high 53 points, 23 rebounds and 13 assists.

Jesse Van Kalsbeek, MOC-Floyd Valley

Van Kalsbeek poured in 68 points, helping the Dutch reach a Class 3A state tournament semifinal. The senior had an individual tournament-high 37 points in an opening-round win over Bondurant-Farrar and 31 against Waverly-Shell Rock in a semifinal, earning all-tournament honors.

Kaden Van Regenmorter, Hull Western Christian

The Class 2A all-state tournament team captain, junior Van Regenmorter led the Wolfpack to three one-sided victories, including a 78-51 win over Hudson in the championship game. Van Regenmorter scored 50 points in three games and also had 22 rebounds and nine assists.

Caden Wilkins, Bettendorf

Wilkins, a 6-7 senior, had 36 points, 18 rebounds and three blocked shots in two state tournament games. Named to the 4A all-tournament team, Wilkins hit for 26 points and 13 rebounds in a quarterfinal against Cedar Falls.
