Here are the candidates for SBLive's Missouri High School Athlete of the Week as nominated by fans, readers and SBLive’s staff.

Zaya Akins, Raytown South girls track and field

The Kentucky signee closed out her career with three more state titles, winning the 100-, 200- and 400-meter dashes in Class 5 — a bump up from last year’s success in Class 4.

Adam Bell, Pembroke Hill boys tennis

Picked up a win in singles and was joined by Andrew Greaves to win in doubles to help the Raiders beat John Burroughs, 5-0, in the Class 3 team championship match on Friday. Pembroke was 20-1 on the year and undefeated against Missouri schools.

Bailey Boulay, Eureka girls lacrosse

She became the first player in program history with 200 career points and the second to ever collect 100 points in a season.

Arhmad Branch, Festus boys track and field

The Purdue football signee set a new school record with a leap of 23 feet, 4 1/2 inches in the long jump to claim the Class 4 title on Friday at the MSHSAA State Track and Field Championships.

Jackson Cantwell, Nixa boys track and field

In his first trip to the state finals, the freshman won the shot put in Class 5 with a throw of 19.60 meters, a new class record and gave him the title. He was also the runner-up in the discus event.

Harley Daniels, Mount Vernon softball

Had a two-run double and tossed a shutout with nine strikeouts in a 6-0 win against West County in the Class 2 softball championship game.

Dade Deaver, Clayton boys tennis

Picked up a win in straight sets, 6-1 and 6-0, in singles, part of a 5-0 sweep over Bolivar in the Class 1 team title on Saturday in Springfield.

Addi Donze, Valle Catholic softball

The sophomore’s double to the gap in right-center field brought home the winning run in the Class 1 softball title game, a 2-1 triumph over Concordia in nine innings.

Max Eckerle, Boonville baseball

Hit a two-run home run in a Class 4 playoff sectional win against Summit Christian Academy on Tuesday, a 4-3 win in eight innings.

Walker Gohring, Fulton baseball

He tossed a two-hit shutout with six strikeouts and added a sac fly in a 2-0 win over Macon in a Class 4 playoff game on Tuesday.

Tanner Grant, Nixa baseball

His two-run double gave Nixa the lead for good in a 5-4 win over Blue Springs in a Class 6 quarterfinal, sending Nixa to the final four for the first time since 1974.

Leyton Hanback, Chaffee baseball

The freshman hit a double to left field to drive in two runs and help the Red Devils reach the state final four for the first time since 1992 in a 5-3 win over Bernie.

Olivia Hemme, Concordia softball

In a close game in the Class 1 finals, Hemme gave up two runs over nine innings and struck out 17 in what was a 2-1 loss to Valle Catholic.

Amit Kadan, Ladue boys tennis

The senior No. 3 singles player won in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 and was part of an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles to help the Rams win the MSHSAA Class 2 team title on Saturday.

Caroline Koman, MICDS girls lacrosse

Recorded six goals in a 14-13 win over St. Joseph’s Academy on Tuesday.

Tyler Kromer, St. Francis Borgia baseball

A six-run rally was aided by a two-run single by Kromer that helped Borgia beat Washington, 7-2, on Tuesday.

Skyye Lee, Parkway Central girls track and field

A junior, Lee picked up state championships in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the 100- and 300-meter hurdles at the MSHSAA Class 4 meet this weekend in Jefferson City.

Ryan Lepper, South Callaway baseball

The right-hander threw a three-hit complete game and struck out five in a 6-1 win over Dixon in a Class 3 sectional game on Tuesday.

Joshua Manning, Lee’s Summit boys track and field

The Missouri football recruit set a new Class 5 record in winning the long jump and added a first-place finish in the triple jump as well at the state meet.

Zoe Martonfi, Eldon girls track and field

A versatile athlete for the Mustangs, she won the 800- and 1,600-meter runs and the 300-meter hurdles and was third in the triple jump in the Class 3 finals this weekend.

Tate McGuire, Liberty North baseball

The Arkansas pledge tossed a combined no-hitter with Ty Wisdom to help the Eagles return to the Class 6 final four thanks to a 2-0 win over Rockhurst on Saturday. McGuire struck out eight and worked around a bases-loaded jam in the third.

Coleman Morrison, Springfield Catholic baseball

The one-time Missouri commit and now Jefferson College signee struck out 14 and gave up only two hits in a 2-0 win over Nevada in a Class 4 quarterfinal game on Thursday.

Case Sanderson, Nevada baseball

The Nebraska baseball pledge came up with a single and hit-by-pitch RBIs in an 11-run frame against Monett in a 13-2 win in a Class 4 sectional game and later fanned 12 in 6 2/3 innings in a loss to Springfield Catholic in the quarterfinals.

Kyndall Spain, Cardinal Ritter

She won 300-meter hurdles in Class 5, was on the winning 4x400-meter relay and finished second in the 100 hurdles at the state championships.

Drew Wedgeworth, Springfield Glendale baseball

Tossed a no-hitter in the Class 5 District 5 championship game on Monday, a 2-0 win over Willard.
