Vote for best high school mascot in America, Round 1: Jordan Beetdiggers vs. Tonopah Fighting Muckers
The bracket is set for SBLive Sports' 2024 NCAA Tournament-style contest to determine the best high school mascot in America, and Round 1 is underway.
Vote below for the No. 4-seeded Jordan Beetdiggers (Utah) or the No. 13-seeded Tonopah Fighting Muckers (Nevada) to advance to the second round, where the winner will face either the Shelton Highclimbers (Washington) or Crisfield Crabbers (Maryland).
The Beetdiggers earned a 4 seed by winning last fall's Utah contest with 817 votes, while the Fighting Muckers won Nevada with six votes to earn a 13 seed.

Voting for this matchup will conclude Thursday, March 21, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time.
4. Jordan Beetdiggers (Utah)
Jordan High School for years offered a two-week break of its own for students to assist in harvesting sugar beets, the area's main crop.
13. Tonopah Fighting Muckers (Nevada)
Tonopah is in mining country in off-the-beaten-path Nevada, and mucking is a little-known mining process. Muck is a mix of silver, rock and dirt, and muckers load it into ore cars for it to be rolled to the surface and processed. Fighting Muckers, on the other hand, play high school sports.
