Two of the top high school boys basketball teams in the country are set to face off at the 2024 Hoophall Classic in a matchup overflowing with NBA pedigree. 

Long Island Lutheran (New York) and Columbus (Florida) will meet up Saturday at Springfield College in Massachusetts, and basketball fans across generations will have their eyes on the top 10 showdown.

Long Island Lutheran (11-1), which enters the contest at No. 2 in the SBLive/Sports Illustrated Power 25 national rankings, is led by five-star senior VJ Edgecombe. The Crusaders also have Kiyan Anthony, a four-star junior who is the son of Carmelo Anthony. 

No. 9 Columbus (14-4) is led by the Cameron Boozer and Cayden Boozer, the five-star juniors whose father is Carlos Boozer. The Explorers also boast Jase Richardson and Jaxon Richardson, the sons of Jason Richardson.

The game is being streamed by the NBA via its app and YouTube and is scheduled to tip off at 4:00 p.m. ET.

Cameron Boozer will try to lead Columbus to repeat state championships this year.

FOURTH QUARTER

-- Columbus wraps up a dominant fourth quarter, as Cameron and Cayden Boozer fight over who gets to hold the ball as the clock runs out in what could go down as their best win of the season. The Explorers (15-4), now with two wins over teams currently ranked in the top four, make a big statement with this victory. Long Island Lutheran (11-2) won't see its national stock dip much after its second loss of season.

-- It's all Columbus in the fourth quarter. Cayden Boozer shows off his footwork with a euro-step layup, and the Explorers lead is up to 73-58.

-- Cameron Boozer works a bucket from the post, and Columbus has its biggest lead of the night, 67-58. Long Island Lutheran calls a timeout down by 11 points with 3:28 remaining.

-- Alier Maluk scores in transition for the first Long Island Lutheran field goal of the quarter. Columbus responds quickly with a three from Randy Smith to go back up by seven, 65-58.

-- Randy Smith finds Jase Richardson cutting to the basket for a slam dunk. Columbus has its second biggest lead of the game, up to 62-55.

-- It's an 8-0 run for the Explorers, who now lead 60-55 early in the fourth quarter. The Explorers have stepped up their defense here the past couple minutes, and it's resulted in some easy scores in transition.

-- Columbus opens the quarter with two points down low from Cameron Boozer coming off a nice dish from Jase Richardson. Jaxon Richardson throws down a dunk on the next possession, and Columbus is now back in front, 56-55.

THIRD QUARTER

-- On to the fourth quarter following an even third quarter. Long Island Lutheran entered the third up by three, and that holds true entering the fourth quarter. Crusaders lead 55-52 with eight minutes remaining.

-- Kiyan Anthony scores his first points of the game, as VJ Edgecombe finds him near the corner for a three pointer. All five of the NBA sons (Anthony, Boozers and Richardsons) have now scored today.

-- Columbus and Long Island Lutheran trade threes from Cayden Boozer (14 points) and Kayden Mingo (16 points), respectively. LuHi holds a 49-45 lead with a few minutes left in the third quarter.

-- After Columbus started the half with a 4-0 run to regain the lead, Long Island Lutheran has responded with a 5-0 run and leads 44-40. 

SECOND QUARTER

-- Kiyan Anthony hits VJ Edgecome in the corner for a three pointer in the final seconds of the quarter. After trailing on the scoreboard for most of the first half, Long Island Lutheran leads 39-36 at halftime.

-- VJ Edgecombe drains a three on the wing for Long Island Lutheran, and the game is tied up 36-36.

-- There are three pairs of brothers in this game, and they're all playing well for their teams. Cameron Boozer finds Cayden Boozer in transition for a three to put Columbus back up by six points, 36-30.

-- The Mingo brothers are showing out for the Crusaders. Kayden Mingo scores on a layup to make it a one point game, 31-30.

-- Dylan Mingo comes through again for Long Island Lutheran with a three from the corner. The Crusaders are keeping it close with Columbus, now 31-26 halfway through the quarter.

-- Dylan Mingo gets to the free throw line and ends the two-plus minute scoreless drought for Long Island Lutheran with a pair of makes. The Crusaders trail by five, 26-21.

FIRST QUARTER

-- A steal by Jaxon Richardson leads to a fastbreak score for Cayden Boozer. Columbus leads 24-19 after one quarter and enters the second quarter on a 7-0 run. Cameron Boozer led the Explorers with eight points in the first quarter.

-- Richardson again. He finishes through contact in the paint and hits the free throw to convert the and-one. Columbus leads 12-11 about halfway through the first quarter.

-- Jase Richardson has it going early for Columbus. He hits a three to tie the game up at 7-7. The Michigan State commit has five points already.

-- Long Island Lutheran gets the scoring started with a triple from Ben Michaels.
