CIF Southern Section 2023 girls volleyball playoff brackets: Scores, matchups, game times
The brackets for the nine-division 2023 CIF-Southern Section girls volleyball playoffs have been finalized.
First-round games in Division 2-9 begin Thursday, a day after Division 1 round-robin play starts on Wednesday. All semifinal matches will be held Oct. 28 with championship matches either Nov. 3-4.
Division 1 features the top eight teams overall, which participate in two four-team brackets. The rest of the Division feature 32-team brackets other than D2 (30 teams), D8 (26) and D9 (22). There are wildcard matches to enter the tournament in Divisions 6, 7, 8 and 9.

In all there are more than 250 teams who have qualified for either pool, bracket or wild-card play.
Top seeds for each divisions are Mater Dei (D1), Oaks Christian (D2), Beckman (D3), West Ranch (D4), Ventura (D5), Sacred Heart Los Angeles (D6), Pacific Christian/Santa Monica (D7), Temecula Prep (D8) and Rosemead (D9).
Defending champions are Sierra Canyon (D1), Vista Murrieta (D2), Alemany (D3), Saugus (D4), Buckley (D5), Arrowhead Christian (D6), Nordhoff (D7), United Christian Academy (D8) and Excelsior Charter (D9).
