Five-star guard Zoom Diallo discusses Gonzaga and USC official visits

Zoom Diallo, the No. 1 overall ranked point guard in 2024 and SBLive's Washington State Player of the Year for 2022-23, broke down his official visits to both Gonzaga and USC and spoke on any updates in his recruiting process over this past weekend.

Diallo recently transferred to national powerhouse Prolific Prep (California) this off-season after leading Curtis High School (Washington) to back-to-back WIAA Class 4A boys basketball state titles. 

The five-star point guard is currently ranked as California's No. 2 overall recruit in the class of 2024, the No. 12 overall prospect in the country and the top overall point guard according to 247Sports. 

The 6-foot-4 190-pound senior guard narrowed down his college list to six schools back in January that consisted of: Gonzaga, Washington, Arizona, Florida State, USC and Kansas. 

According to On3, Gonzaga is the current leader to land Zoom Diallo with a 34.1% chance while USC is not far behind with a 22.6% chance. 

"I feel like I was able to grow a deeper relationship with the staff, Coach Enfield and Coach Morris. It was good to see their culture around the program. I was able to sit down and see what their plan was for me and how they planned to use me during my freshman year," Diallo on his USC official visit to On3 National Recruiting Analyst Jamie Shaw over the past weekend.

Diallo also shared high praise for the Gonzaga Bulldogs in his conversation with Shaw and touched on his relationships with Arizona and Florida State in the full discussion, which you can read here. 

Diallo showed a ton of emotion when talking about Gonzaga's guard play.

"They really install whatever their game plan is, whatever their system is going to be for that game; they really work on that with their guards in and out of practice."
