Adrian boys track
The Antelopes almost literally sprinted to the 1A team title, as they dominated in the sprint events. Adrian junior Jace Martin sprinted to victory in the 200 in 22.35 on Friday, tying his meet record he set the day before in the preliminaries. He won the 100 in 11.08. In that event, he also set a meet record in Thursday’s preliminaries with his time of 10.99. Martin teamed with senior Riley Griffin, senior Gavin Bayes and senior Conley Martin to triumph in the 4x100 relay in 43.82, winning that race by nearly two seconds. In the 4x400 relay, the Adrian team of Jesse Walker, Jace Martin, Bayes and Conley Martin won in 3:34.84. Conley Martin was runner-up to his brother in the 100 and 200. Griffin was second in the 110 high hurdles.
Bandon boys track
Bandon grabbed the 2A championship with a score of 56 points, with Enterprise taking second at 49. Senior twins Hunter and Trevor Angove helped lead the Tigers to their title. Trevor Angove won the long jump with a mark of 20-2.25, and he had a winning distance of 43-4.25 in the triple jump. He ran to sixth place in the 400, and he was fourth in the high jump. Hunter Angove cleared 13-0 to take first place in the pole vault.
Banks boys golf
Banks won the 4A tournament in Banks, coming in three strokes ahead of Valley Catholic and Baker. Banks had three players among the top 20 finishers.
Bend softball
Bend (27-1) closed out the Mountain Valley title with an 11-1 win over Mountain View on Tuesday, then notched a 10-0 nonleague win over Westview on Wednesday.
Catlin Gabel boys tennis
Catlin Gabel won the 4A/3A/2A/1A title at Saturday’s state tournament with the team putting up 20 points, with Peter Ye and Will Silver winning the doubles crown. Tai Leong finishing second in the singles draw, and Wyliy Fields won the consolation bracket. Catlin Gabel won nine matches in the main draw.
Catlin Gabel girls tennis
Catlin Gabel won the 4A/3A/2A/1A championship by totaling 17 points, filling three of the eight spots in the singles quarterfinals. Lola Diaz finished as the runner-up in that bracket, and Anna Semler won the third-place match. Mia Rumsfield and Elsa McDermott won the doubles consolation bracket. Catlin Gabel won seven main-draw matches.
Catlin Gabel boys track
Catlin Gabel claimed the 3A crown with a score of 84, putting the Eagles 14 points ahead of second-place Santiam Christian. The Eagles got off to a strong start on the track Friday, with the team of sophomore Joshua Widdows, senior Elijah Widdows, senior Jackson George and junior Malcolm Grant winning the 4x100 relay in 44.37. Catlin Gabel finished the day in winning fashion, with Grant, Joshua Widdows, Jackson George and senior Mike Hart triumphing in the 4x400 in 3:30.01. Hart won the 800 in 2:00.02, and Joshua Widdows triumphed in the 110 high hurdles in 15.27.
Central Catholic boys track
Central Catholic totaled 55 points in winning the 6A state title Saturday in Eugene, beating runner-up Tigard by 15 points. The Rams scored 23 points across the sprint races to go with a sweep of both relays.
Coquille girls track
Class 2A Coquille clinched its first state crown with a score of 58 points, putting the Red Devils eight points ahead of second-place Regis, which scored 51. Junior Trinidy Blanton had the only individual title for the Red Devils, as she triumphed in the javelin with a throw of 122-7.
Corvallis boys golf
Corvallis won the 5A tournament in Corvallis, coming to the clubhouse 21 strokes ahead of runner-up Crater. The Spartans had two players among the top five finishers.
Crescent Valley boys tennis
The Raiders won the 5A state championship, finishing with 11 points and six main bracket wins, highlighted by Luke Forester and Richard Wang winning the doubles title.
Crescent Valley girls tennis
Crescent Valley won the state title at Saturday’s 5A state tournament with the team scoring 16.5 points with eight main-bracket victories. Zoe Hughes and Kara Patterson were runners-up in the doubles bracket, and Sophie Katz finished second in singles play.
Crescent Valley girls track
Crescent Valley won the 5A state championship with 67 points, edging North Salem by a single point. The Raiders won the 400-, 800- and 3,000-meter races along with the long relay. Crescent Valley had top-five finishes in four other events.
Damascus Christian girls track
Damascus Christian took the 1A title with a whopping 105.5 points, the most of any team at the small-school state championships. Freshman Avi Mai was the big scorer for the Eagles. She took first place in the 300 low hurdles in 50.36, and she had a winning mark of 15-10.75 in the long jump. Mai finished third in the 100, and she teamed with junior Sierra Hale, senior Andrea Bogdan and senior Alysha Colburn to finish second in the 4x100 relay. Colburn cleared 9-0 to triumph in the pole vault. Senior Emily Powers had a winning throw of 118-1 in the javelin.
Jesuit baseball
Jesuit (25-3) closed out the Metro League title by sweeping a three-game series over Beaverton without surrendering a run. The Crusaders won the set by a combined 39-0 score.
Jesuit girls golf
Jesuit won the 6A tournament in Creswell by 14 strokes over runner-up Mountainside. The Crusaders had three golfers among the top 20.
Lake Oswego girls track
Lake Oswego piled up 77 points to claim the 6A state title Saturday in Eugene, beating runner-up Oregon City by 15 points. The Lakers won more than half of the events on the track with Mia Brahe-Pedersen winning the 100 and 200 sprints, Josie Donelson taking first in the 400 and Kate Peters winning the 3,000. The Lakers also swept the relays.
Lakeridge baseball
Lakeridge (23-5), the Three Rivers League champion, won two nonleague games over playoff-qualifiers West Linn and Westview.
Lebanon softball
Lebanon (22-5) earned a share of first place in the Mid-Willamette Conference with a 3-1 win over Dallas in Friday’s league finale. The Warriors notched an 8-5 win over Silverton and an 11-1 mercy-rule win over Corvallis on Wednesday.
Lincoln boys tennis
Lincoln won the 6A state title with 21.5 points, highlighted by Will Semler’s run to the singles title with four straight-set wins. The Cardinals won eight matches in the main draw.
Marshfield boys track
Marshfield totaled 57 points in winning the 4A state title Saturday, coming in five points ahead of runner-up Henley. The Pirates piled up the most points in the pole vault, where they filled three of the top four spots, with Jonathon Parks clearing 14-9 for the win. Marshfield had three runner-up finishes on the track.
Nelson softball
The Hawks (14-10) qualified for the Class 6A playoffs in their inaugural season, finishing in second place in the Mt. Hood Conference.
Nyssa girls track
Class 3A Nyssa won the first state track and field crown in program history — and did so in dramatic fashion. Entering the final race, the 4x400 relay, the Bulldogs were in second place with 63.5 points, putting them 6.5 points behind first-place St. Mary’s, which had a score of 70. The Bulldogs needed to finish in first or second place in the race to claim the team title. The Nyssa team of junior Asbel Tellez Jaquez, junior Ella Draper, senior Kate Vineyard and junior Gracie Johnson finished second, clinching the team championship.
Oregon Episcopal boys golf
Oregon Episcopal won the 3A/2A/1A tournament by 14 strokes over runner-up St. Mary’s in Banks. The Aardvarks had four players finish among the top 10.
Pendleton softball
Pendleton (24-2) swept a three-game set against Crook County to wrap up the Intermountain Conference season and posted a 3-2 win over Greater Oregon champion La Grande on Friday.
Philomath girls track
Philomath piled up 87 points to win the 4A state title Saturday in Eugene. The team got field-event wins from Sage Kramer in the javelin and shot put, along with track wins by Janice Hellesto in the 400 along with a win in the long relay. The Warriors had top-three finishes in seven other events.
Silverton boys track
Silverton totaled 79 points in winning the 5A state championship Saturday in Eugene. The Foxes saw Orie Schaffers win the shot put and Sam Willis win the discus, while the team had five other top-three finishes over the two-day meet.
Sprague baseball
Sprague (22-6) secured the Mountain Valley Conference crown with a 5-4 win at South Salem on Monday, then posted an 11-1 nonleague win over Gresham on Thursday.
St. Mary’s girls golf
St. Mary’s won the 4A/3A/2A/1A title by eight strokes over runner-up Marist Catholic in Redmond. Riley Hammerickson earned medalist honors with a 3-over-par 147 over two rounds. St. Mary’s had three players among the top 10.
Summit boys golf
Summit won the 6A title in Corvallis with a 16-under-par 552 total — 39 strokes ahead of its nearest pursuer, Tigard. The Storm had four finishers in the top 10, led by medalist Brody Grieb with an 8-under 134 over two rounds.
Thurston baseball
Thurston (25-2) wrapped up the Midwestern League title with an 8-1 win at Churchill on Monday, followed by two nonleague victories over North Bend and Bend.
Tigard softball
Tigard (25-3) secured the Three Rivers League title with a 9-0 shutout of Lake Oswego on Monday, followed by a 5-4 win over West Linn on Wednesday.
Westview girls tennis
Westview won the 6A state title with 25 points, with Amberly Au and Karolina Dobiecka winning the doubles bracket and Neena Feldman taking second-place honors in singles play. The Wildcats won 10 main-draw matches.
Wilsonville baseball
Wilsonville (23-3) secured the Northwest Oregon Conference title by sweeping a three-game series over Scappoose that included two one-run victories.
Wilsonville girls golf
Wilsonville won the 5A tournament in Creswell, finishing 31 strokes ahead of runner-up Silverton. The Wildcats had four players among the top 20.
Wilsonville softball
Wilsonville (24-3) wrapped up a perfect run through the Northwest Oregon Conference with a 10-0 shutout of Putnam on Tuesday, followed by a 7-0 win over Scappoose on Thursday. The Wildcats earned 13 shutouts in league play.
